Varsity Boys Tennis
The Saint Andrew's School Tennis program is a powerhouse in high school tennis, boasting an incredible 11 State Championships in the last eight years of post-season play.
Both the Boys' and Girls' teams have reached the pinnacle of national rankings, with each being ranked #1 in the nation at various times since the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) began rating high school teams in 2018. Remarkably, the combined boys and girls program has consistently been recognized as the best tennis program in the country using the UTR rating system.
Beyond the state titles and national recognition, the program is committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes. Every player in the program, which includes between 60-80 varsity athletes each year, gets the opportunity to participate in varsity matches—an achievement the team values as highly as their championship titles. This inclusive approach fosters a strong team spirit and a culture of excellence that extends beyond the court.
Saint Andrew's Tennis is also dedicated to academic success, with all athletes graduating and many going on to play tennis at prestigious institutions. In the past three years alone, graduates have continued their tennis careers at top schools including Princeton, the University of Chicago, Swarthmore, Emory, the US Military Academy, and the US Naval Academy.
The Saint Andrew's Tennis program is not just about winning; their commitment to inclusivity, academic excellence, and athletic achievement makes them a true gold standard in high school tennis.
